Pilgrims participating in Days in the Diocese will spend a week in Oswieçim, Poland (near Krakow) in the footsteps of St. John Paul II. This week has three focal points:

• Prayer: daily Eucharist adoration and mass

• Solidarity: growing in generosity and openness to difference through personal testimonies and the lives of saints

• Culture: discover the Christian roots of Poland and the perseverance of faith despite its history

We'll experience a week of immersion with Polish young people, the region of Krakow, and the faith of Poland in connection to JPII's life and message. Along with prayer in the morning, service in the day, and cultural activities in the evenings (all with our Polish hosts), we'll visit Auschwitz, the salt mines at Wieliczka, and the birthplace of JPII. Accomdation will be in the rooms of a local high school and some host families.
